How are animals used to make cosmetics?

What kinds of animals as far as part do producers use to make cosmetics, like make-up ?How are animals used to make cosmetics?
i think its predominately rabbits, they basically apply the makeup to the animals and see if there are any allergic reactions, that's why you shouldn't by animal tested products!!!!How are animals used to make cosmetics?
Rabbitts' eyelids are injected with the makeup to see how they react to it, for one example.Why do you want to know? ANy time ithings are tested on animals usually they are testing the product before it goes on the market in case it is too dangerous for us humans. SO they are gunee pigs for our beauty and health. Which is horrible.
they don't put animal parts in the makeup. they test the makeup on the animals to look for bad reactions so it doesn't have the same effect when people put it on.
