How can i transport my Cosmetics from home to DC without having all my stuff get out of their cases?
my friend says a purse would work but i don't wear make up ever day and i just want an easy way to transport my make up from home to DC
PS:it's out 8th grade trip in less than a mont! How can i transport my Cosmetics from home to DC without having all my stuff get out of their cases?
wrap the ';makeup side'; of compact makeup (like eyeshadow, powder, etc) in a bit of saran wrap then close them. Put all your make up together in a ziplock baggie in your suitcase, and hopefully you should be set.How can i transport my Cosmetics from home to DC without having all my stuff get out of their cases?
I went to DC. Buy a small makeup bag/cloth pencil case(try VS Pink) Put all things that open in individual ziploc bags. One in the bag wrap it up tight and put a rubber band around it.
a little cosmetic bag is good, with maybe like a plastic lining so if stuff does come out, it wont ruin the bag. But something small should do the trick.
make sure your makeup is in a sealed plastic bag

What would I need to do to set up my own cosmetics line?
What are the steps I would need to take to set up my own make-up brand? ThanksWhat would I need to do to set up my own cosmetics line?
First you need to get a product line. You have to commission a firm to create one for you OR buy something existing and market it.
you'll need to figure out what your margins are (how much does it cost you to get the product/what is the sales price), identify your target customer, figure out packaging, research methods of marketing to customers (drugstores, mail order, infomercial, online, dept stores), find financial resources to pay for this, figure out how to manage supplies, shipping, storage, etc.
You might want to work with your local small business administration. They can help you develop a business plan. What would I need to do to set up my own cosmetics line?
Cosmetics durr!
And money. =]
Lol.
Love you xx
A few million dollars to launch it
Lol no seriously, try to find somebody willing to put up the financial investment, maybe a bank or venture capitalist.
Good luck x
get the bussniss license and sell products like avon
you dont even say if you have the skills to mix cosmetics yrself. what way would you want to go with it? anti ageing, young skin, organic?????
you need to have the product in mind and actually believe in it and there are so many different ways to market it.
good luck!
Remember that anything that hasn't got the words;
';Not tested on animals'; is tested on animals.
In other words if you are not going to do nasty things to fluffy bunnies etc. You have to by law put those words ';Not tested on animals'; somewhere on the product, so the vain person knows that they are the Guinea pig. Talk to a Bodyshop manager about your proposal before you buy into this world.
Aside from lots of money, chemists, color specialists, trend spotters, a manufacturer, a distributer and a sales force, the most important thing you need is a fresh idea, a point of difference. There are so many makeup lines out there...there has to be a reason why I would choose yours over any other.

Does anyone know what kind of pigment is used in permanent cosmetics-eyeliner tattooing?
I am thinking about having my eyeliner permanently put on and would like to know what kind of pigment is used. Is it the same ink used in a regular tattoo?Does anyone know what kind of pigment is used in permanent cosmetics-eyeliner tattooing?
Sometimes. Only the very experience artists are able to use carbon-based inks such as sumi around the eyes. There is no interference with MRI with this ink.
Most use iron oxide based pigments which are very safe and do not have the same risk of migration as the carbon-based inks. Only rarely do these pigments interfere with MRI, causing transient irritation.

How do you test cosmetics for lead?
I received many eye makeup products from a foreign country including eyeshadow and kohl. When I wore them, I had a terrible headache, so I'm suspicous as to whether it may contain a dangerous substance like lead. If I could determine that there is lead in it, I could prevent other people from using the products. So I'm looking for a way to test for lead. I am not sure if Leadchecker cotton swabs could work. How do you test cosmetics for lead?
You can take it to an environmental lab and have them test it for you. At the lab I work at our lead test is only $10 per sample. I'm sure the home kits cost more than that! Find a lab by you via phonebook.
If you take it to a lab they will have WAY better equipment to test it than a home kit, they know what they're doing, and they have to do all sorts of checks to ensure that the numbers they get are accurate. How do you test cosmetics for lead?

What happen to returned cosmetics at drugstores?
Like Walgreens and CVS.
The manager at Walgreens told me they got thrown away. Is that true? What happen to returned cosmetics at drugstores?
One of two things happens to all the returns:
1) They are scanned for credit and then thrown away, or...
2) They are returned to a claim center and then returned to the manufacturer for credit.
(or in some states, it is donated to charity).
What credit is issued, if any, depends on the product and the manufacturer and what agreement was made with the manufacturer by the buying department.
In some cases, probably most cases, the stores/company gets full credit. For some products there is no credit because the manufacturer/distributor already made a deal with Walgreens to give Walgreens a lower price in return for foregoing any future claims.
I guess we could sum this all up by saying that the stores/company, in general, get almost full credit for everything that is returned, one way or another. What happen to returned cosmetics at drugstores?
Yeah. Unless it has no tbeen taken out of the package, it gets put in a back usually with damages and returns and sent back to corporate so they can figure out what to do with it. It ends up throw away in the end, but corporate looks at the item and learns from what was returned, etc so they can adjust what they buy next time to put in the stores. Sometimes it just gets thrown away in store...just depends on the corporate policy and the situation
Nope, not true. They actually go back to the manufacturer for credit.
I guess if they are defective why would they put them back?
yes. what else would they do with them?

Is starting your own cosmetics company a waist of money?
my friends say that it is really tough to get your own brand out there and i sort of belive them it this right?! this is something i really want to do when i'm older but will i waste my time and money doing this?Is starting your own cosmetics company a waist of money?
You need to study, study, study the industry and trends that cross market.
Right now what's in is natural and organic products, women are really looking for the safest thing to put on their faces but, it has to make them feel and look good too.
Plus how and where you manufacture your products no testing on animals, no outsourcing you need to show local pride and is your company environmentally friendly, using solar power not creating illegal waste.
Once you see the bigger picture like setting up community charity events, these events will show customers to trust and buy your brand. Otherwise no one will learn who you are, if you do nothing but try to fill your pockets.
Do research of companies outside of make-up that are successful, and see how you can integrate that with this industry of make-up.
Goodluck! Is starting your own cosmetics company a waist of money?
You can start by making your own eyeshadows. Those are easy. I do that. and sell them on Etsy sometimes.
You can get a starter eyeshadow kit from TKB trading, great people to work with. They have containers, recipes, and the best forum ever! You can learn a lot on their forum. I'd go there if you really want good info. There's lotsa women on their that have makeup sites that are making money.
Yeah it would be hard to start up, but not impossible. You have lotsa costs:
product
insurance
equipment
labels
a website or Etsy shop
packaging (like boxes,envelopes, bubbl wrap)
You will have to put lots of energy, time and most of all MONEY in it, and it's not even guaranteed that you'll be successful. You'll also have to provide SAFE products. You have to be absolutely sure before you get into a business like this.
You'll spend before you earn... if you EVER earn.
Unless you have some crazy, amazing original or ingenious recipe for cosmetics, the market really doesn't need more makeup.

When you're wearing (light colored) eyeshadow, put some underneath your eye. Extend the color from your lids around the corners of your eyes, and keep applying the color to about 1/4th of the way under your eye.
Wear mascara that makes your lashes big and full
And line the bottom of your eyes with white eyeliner (a trick for opening up the eyes)
I don't know about contacts that make your eyes look huge, but I know that girls use eyeliner to frame their eyes, lengthening mascara, and eyelash curlers really open your eye up.

I had not heard of them, but am so glad that I did when I was looking at selling Avon or Mary Kay.
I wish you the best! What is the sign up cost to join Mary Kay Cosmetics in Ontario Canada?
Trust me you do not want to sell mary kay! My family has sold Mary Kay over the years and it does not make you money! You have to buy inventory and with so many people who sell it, there is alot of competition and also people can buy it cheaper on ebay and often do. If you want to sell makeup, I highly recommend selling Faerie Organic www.faerieorganic.com Their products are amazing! I am a professional makeup artist and I use their mineral makeup on all my clientel, after I show them how good they look in it they always end up buying products, as it covers redness really well, is all natural *GREEN* (which is really hot right now) people love it, you can make good money. All you have to do is go to their website and fill out the comment form that you are interested in selling and they will give you a wholesale price list, I think the order minimum is like $100.00 which I 'm not sure of because I usually spend more than that, so I can buy some for myself as well. Look into it, its an untapped market and people are really wanting more natural products right now, you'll be set apart from the crowd.
You will need to go to www.marykay.ca for CANADA.

Hi Isis,
The starter kit is $150 plus tax and it has around $400 retail worth of product (even wholesale the cost would be around $200) so you're getting it at a realy good deal!
To be considered active you need to have inventory that costs around $200-$300 (it's your store).
You just missed the $99 Special Sign-up with MK but let me know if you are still interested in signing because if you are I will give you a bonus MK bathrobe (suggested retail price of $50). Contact me via www.marykay.ca/mboyle Best of luck!

There are many safe and organic cosmetics that can be found at your local health food or organic store.

Uhm..nothing is made WITH animals. But i think you mean which brands test on animals. Usually it says on the bottle 'not tested on animals' if it doesnt say I come to the conclusion that they are emabrssed adn don't wanna tell us that they do test.

Regarding hair color and cosmetics: What is the difference between cool, neutral and warm tones?
And how can I tell which one is best suited for me?Regarding hair color and cosmetics: What is the difference between cool, neutral and warm tones?
Here is a great do-it-yourself color test to find what shades will compliment your face as well as your wardrobe鈥?both work together to give you your perfect look.
Remove all make up and style your hair as you usually do. (If your hair is colored, pull it back or wrap in a white towel. This will tell you if your hair color is your best shade.) In front of a mirror large enough to see your entire face and shoulders, under bright sunlight or natural lighting, drape yellow material (any articles of clothing will do) around the front of your neck across bare shoulders and chest. Look at how that color affects your face. If you are warm, it will brighten your appearance, minimize dark shadows and draw attention to your eyes. If you鈥檙e cool the effect will be just the opposite. Your face will look sallow and blotchy with pronounced shadows around the eyes, nose and mouth. If you鈥檙e cool toned, drape blue material to see the effect you鈥檙e going for 鈥?bright skin and eyes with no pronounced shadows. Continue to color test all your favorite tops. Make two piles, one that works and one that doesn鈥檛. When you鈥檙e done, look at the pile that works. Those colors will tell you what makeup shades are best for you.
In general you will find that warm tones best wear beige-based foundations and concealers while cool tones wear ivory-based foundations and concealers.
Warm tones best wear color cosmetics in natural earth colors like mocha, bronze and browns in shades from camel to warm dark taupe. Try eye colors in bright navy, warm tawny oranges and sage, olive, moss, jade, grass, celery and apple greens. Experiment with highlighter shades in white, peach and apricot. For a night out, look for lipstick shades in brick red, dark tomato or burnt orange. Be sure your shimmer has translucent gold undertones.
Cool tones best wear rich colors. Try eye wear in vivid blue-red tones from royal to aquatic blues, sapphire to soft pastels. Look for deep emerald and icy greens, plum and rose-based pinks. Choose highlighter shades in pure or soft white. Pure black mascara enhances cool skin. Be bold in lip colors like ruby and electric pinks.
Hope this was helpful to you ~~~
http://www.carefair.com/Makeup/Are_You_W鈥?/a>Regarding hair color and cosmetics: What is the difference between cool, neutral and warm tones?
You skin already has undertones in it, and you're just picking the hair or cosmetics colors with the same undertones so it doesn't look too weird on you. For example- if you're cool-toned and pick a warm-toned foundation, it may look orange on you.
One way to tell what you are is to look at the veins in your arm- if they're green you're more warm, if they're blue you're more cool. Pink-y based skin (rosy cheeks) is cool, more yellow or olive based skin is warm. Also, in clothing- cool toned people look better in silver, blue, purple, etc, while warm toned people look better in gold, orange, red. If you can't tell for sure either way (like if your veins are blue but your skin is more yellow-based, etc), you may be neutral.
People at any cosmetics counter should be able to tell you what you are.
Also- remember that just becase you're cool or warm doesn't limit you from wearing certain colors. You just have to pick the right shade of that color to look best on you. For example- I'm cool toned and can wear blue-based red lipstick, even though red is a ';warm'; color, the undertones in the lipstick are blue rather than yellow.
it has to do with the undertones in ur skin. i'm sure everyone keeps saying that but what it means to you is this... if you have a warm undertone and u wear cool colors and foundation it will make ur skin look ashy or pale. if you have cool undertones but use warm makeup and colors it can make up look like ';fake-tan Barbie'; naturals can wear whatever.

I am selling homemade cosmetics and have a shipping question?
One of the items I am making is very small, the size of a chapstick tube. If someone were to buy even multiple of these items, it still would not nearly fill a CD bubble mailer or poly mailer which is the smallest I have found so far. I want to ship with a professional appearance. Any ideas?I am selling homemade cosmetics and have a shipping question?
hm.. You could get personalized bubble wrappers. What is the name of your company? Do you have a website? I am a huge fan of makeup and have my own youtube channel set up to explore new products. Maybe I could do a review on your products and you will be getting people (from all over the world) buying your things. If you are intrested in me reviewing your cosmetics let me know. Try using a small box and wrap with bubble wrap. I recently bought a product from Armani and it was in a big box surrounded by bubble wrap.
Good Luck with your business ~~

What happens to used products, such as skin care and cosmetics, that are returned to a store or website?
Do they get repackaged and put back on the shelf? Do the employees get to take them home? Do they get sent back to the manufacturer? Are they just thrown away? I really would like to know. What happens to used products, such as skin care and cosmetics, that are returned to a store or website?
I worked at bath and body works for a year, and they have a policy that you can return anything even if you've used it.
If the person told us they used the product or we even suspected they used it, we had to squeeze the product into the trashcan and then throw away the bottle. If it was an item that wasn't used and came from our store, we put it back on the shelf. It it was an item that wasn't used but wasn't in our store, there was a prize drawer in the back that the employees could choose from if they did really well in sales, etc. I once got a $95 item that I took back to the store it was originally from and returned it for other items I actually needed. This is a little bit against the policies, but it helped me out!!
There are laws against anyone using used cosmetics. The store has to throw them out. The employess wouldn't take home used cosmetics because that's gross. I guess some stores send stuff back to the manufacturer, but the majority of it gets thrown out. What happens to used products, such as skin care and cosmetics, that are returned to a store or website?
well the products r not returned the companies do not agree to take it back they only agree to take the un used products o they accept to take back the products that r less in quality and give u another one
If they've been opened, they either get thrown away or returned to the manufacturer for credit. If not opened and not defective, they put them back on the shelf.

Go to papermart.com and look at their shipping boxes. Choose one which has a small size, but that will also let you put your label on the outside. If you are using delivery confirmation, the space where you put your label needs to be large enough for the delivery confirmation sticker to fit too.I am selling homemade cosmetics and have a shipping question?
My first answer would be, require that particular product be purchased in bulk %26gt;20. Or you can make that item part of a gift basket, or an extra bonus gift to be included in other purchases. Finally, if you must sell it singularly and need to ship it, cut a poly mailer in half and use a label to seal both ends; that way your package is only as big as you label. Good Luck.

Im looking for cosmetics for African Americans where should i go online?
I also would love some tips on how to add it on because im so clumsy and nervous, i feel a little bit tacky after i apply my make-up {basicly im saying i add on too much and look like a clown lol} so a web site with tips would be nice.Im looking for cosmetics for African Americans where should i go online?
Walmart.com has Zuri that works great also if you want more expensive they have cover girl Queen Latifah collection and even Iman. Use a little bit at a time and if you have high cheek bones like most of us A As do then go right under the cheek bone outward not on top because that what gives it that clown affect.Im looking for cosmetics for African Americans where should i go online?
MAC makeup comes in every color imaginable. IT IS VERY MUCH WORTH IT. you can sign up for a free beauty consultation with any make up artist there and they can help you with whatever questions you may have
You don't necessarily need to go online. Queen Latifah made a line specifically for women of color called the Queen Collection. You can't go wrong!
You could try the Bare Escentuals starter kit that makes shades up to dark and the deepest deep, which are great for African Americans' skin tone. Also, you can try Max Factor Maxilicious Naughty Collection of lip glosses. For eyeshadow, lipstick, etc., you may buy Covergirl cosmetics because I think that line caters the most to people of color. The Bare Escentuals kit is available through amazon.com and sephora.com. Max Factor's Maxilicious Naughty Collection of lip glosses and Covergirl cosmetics should all be available on ebay (but beware of scams on that website).

Go there, the makeup is the first brand designed only for women of color.
I've heard great reviews of it.
I hope you like it!
I have a few ladies that are friends and they have been raving about BEE LUSCIOUS COSMETICS and how the foundations and powders favor them so much because they have dark skin it is hard to find shades that blend in naturally, but bee luscious has many , many colors and they all blend in so beautifully.

That is the big mystery for every business is where to advertise when seeking to recruit new people for sales or any kind of employment. You can contact your local papers and run the ads, as people respond you would need to keep track which paper you get the most response from. So you know where to put your advertising money to work again. The most expensive advertisement doesn't mean you will get the biggest response. Sometimes it is just word of mouth, just let your customers know you are seeking someone to add to your team, they could be perfect because they already know the reasons to buy the cosmetics. Give referral prize or award to someone who finds you a new person for your team. Also there school papers %26amp; postings and neighborhood flyers and church annoucements newsletters galore also there is notices to post everywhere which stir interest which cost very little. Really the list is endless. It sounds like it is a party sales thing and I would be sure to have a special annoucement packaged in with your presentation each night letting your customers know about the opportunities and also a written notice how they can reach you when they receive their products. It sounds like your excited and that excitement will spread and you should be very successfull, Good Luckhair ideas

What are the basic items of make-up and cosmetics?
I am already 32 years old but I have never used makeup. Which items are the basic and important? I appreciate it if you can give me the list. Thank you. What are the basic items of make-up and cosmetics?
Your question is very important for which I think you should go online and check this out: http://mydailycosmetics.com/articles
Enjoy :)What are the basic items of make-up and cosmetics?
My personal make up item list:
-Dove Sensitive skin Face Wash. Even if your skin isn't sensitive, it leaves your face clear and smooth and fresh.
-Moisturizer (I suggest any sea salt moisturizer. It works wonders for my skin!)
-Concealer.This should be slightly lighter than your skin tone.
-Foundation. Be sure to find the right shade!
-Make up sponge. Sponges are best for applying your foundation. It keeps your hands away from the skin, which is best if your skin is very oily. (If your skin tends to be more dry, it's better to use your own fingers to apply foundation)
-Shadow Brushes. Make sure you have all different types. This gives you the opportunity to play with your look and find something that fits you.
-Large Blush Brush
-Small Blush Brush
-Lip Liner (Best bet in pink or a light red.)
-Eye Liner (Black, Grey, and Brown)
-Eye Shadow. I keep all different colors. But the basics are different shades of brown, gold, peach, blue, green and even violet.)
-Lip Gloss- I keep either a pale pink or a clear. You can also use peach. (Blend liner into lips with gloss.)
-Mascara. Black is the most basic. There are some brown mascara's, but I suggest black.
-Blush, of course. What else would you use the brushes for them? Find the color that suits you best. Remember, though. You don't want it to JUMP off your skin. You want it to bring out your cheek bones. Remember to smile big when you apply!
And finally, I suggest this to anyone and everyone. Mineral Powder. I find it is pretty cheap to get from Mary Kay (around $18) It's great for setting your foundation! It makes your skin have a healthy glow, covers perfectly, and leaves your skin beautiful and soft as a babies bottom! It's perfect for covering blemishes. It even works well without foundation (as long as you use a good Moisturizer.)
I hope this helps!
basic makeup items:

*blush/bronzer
*a good mascara!!
*lip gloss/stick
*eyeshadow

*concealor
but i wouldnt wear foundation, or eyeshadow. foundation would clog up your pours %26amp; its just nasty. and eyeshadow is ok i guess if you apply a natural color...
make sure your concealor %26amp; powder matches your skin tone well.
and dont put on your eyeliner like a raccoon!

Dear Novice,
Basic items are cleanser, toner, moisturizer, foundation that matches your skin tone, a good lip balm, a tube of mascara.
Those are all you need. You don't need any fancy make up items. If you wanna splurge, try a simple or nude eye shadows for starters. Then when you are more experienced in coloring your eyes, try those vibrant colored ones.
All the best!
-Cleanser
-a good moisturizer with SPF 20+
-foundation (powder of liquid whichever you prefer)
-eye brightening cream (always good to have and to use, to prevent under eye darkness)
-eye shadow palette (great for starters and is convenient to take)
-blush palette or a mosaic bronzer (again, palettes do give you more options and is great for starters)
-eye liner pencil (black or brown)
- lipstick or a sheer lip balm (choose an appropriate color that can fit most occasions)
-eye lash curler
- mascara
These are just basics, so you don't need to use them all at once. Some people believe that it's crucial to have make up brushes, but I would say that it's not very important unless you are serious about make up. But for your age, using fingertips to apply foundation is normal and actually gives your skin a sheer airbrushed look according to professional celebrity make up artists. Good luck =)
I'll sort out a basic list and a other list.

Why does the ';Lip injection extreme'; by Too Faced Cosmetics say to only use it twice a day?
Is there a danger in using this more often?? Can I use it throughout the day? I am wondering what the reason is that Lip Injection Extreme is only supposed to be used in the morning and at night...Why does the ';Lip injection extreme'; by Too Faced Cosmetics say to only use it twice a day?
Okay, so here's how I think it works:
Lip Injection, the original formula, is less strong than Lip Injection Extreme. If you use Lip Injection Extreme too much, your lips might get dried out.Why does the ';Lip injection extreme'; by Too Faced Cosmetics say to only use it twice a day?
So that your lips don't blow up
HMMMMMMM im not sure
It wont hurt you to use it more than twice a day. But, if you use it more than twice your lips will get used to the chemicals in the lipgloss and then it wouldnt work
Hope I helped
Maybe because if you use it too often, your lips will become too used to the chemicals, building up a tolerance, and the product will not work as effectively.
Or it could be a marketing strategy, by setting guidelines, people will beleive the product to deliver better results.
because it helps increase collagen production in your lips and if you use it more than the recommended amount it can increase the production to much and you'll end up with really big lips.

What happens to cosmetics with defects ?
What happens to cosmetics that have various packaging defects ? Are they disposed ? Or do they sell them ? I have seen some products (Mac,Estee Lauder) that have small packaging defects for sale.Out of curiosity I bought a lip gloss(Estee Lauder shine pops) and the quality %26amp; contents are the same as the original. Only thing is that the gloss color is differant from what is says on the lable. It says ';Mellow Yellow'; when the colour is actually ';sweet nectar';. Has anyone else seen stuff like this ?What happens to cosmetics with defects ?
A lot of name brand defects are still sold, just for a cheaper price than that of a non defective product. What happens to cosmetics with defects ?
I haven't but I'd like to know where you got yours from. lol :)
it is really bad things for those who are selling this type of produts to the customer. if packing of the product is not proper then they should have to dispose them .because defactive cosmetics really harm full for skin.

Can you keep cosmetics/hair products around even after their shelf life expires?
I mean some products have a very short shelf life. 6 months. Others have 24 months. But generally speaking, can you keep some products for lets say even several years?
I think it's so stupid to have to buy all these things only to have to completely throw them away a few years later. Can you keep cosmetics/hair products around even after their shelf life expires?
The biggest reason for cosmetic products to have a shelf life is that every time you use them you put bacteria from your eyes, mouth, skin, etc. in the product. If you use the products regularly, you should pay attention to the shelf lives, for sure. If you only apply your make-up occasionally, then each product should last for several years. It's all a matter of how worried about bacteria you are.Can you keep cosmetics/hair products around even after their shelf life expires?
They say you should , but from experience , I still use makeup after it expires , it does it's job and nothing bad happens , same with hairspray and what not. Even mascara , they say you should buy new all the time , the only thing that can happen is it gets clumpy , but add a drop of water and your ok. They just do that to make money because cosmetics and hair products can get pricey.
I say if it's anything that doesn't go on your eyes, mouth or facial skin it should be okay.
it's ok as long as they dont smell funky or have started to breakdown :)

When Mary Kay cosmetics discontinues a color of lip gloss, is there some website were you can get it?
I would think there's still some out there for a temporary time... My MK rep. had a couple on-hand and I snatched them up but I wouldn't mind getting a few more lip glosses in Tiger Lily, a color I really liked. When Mary Kay cosmetics discontinues a color of lip gloss, is there some website were you can get it?
You can try the places mentioned by the other two people however be very careful it has already been over a year so you might get something old that isn't any good depending on how long they had it in stock. I would try to find one you like that is similar. You are correct when items are first discontinued or when my customers have something they love I get a few extra so I am sure there are consultants who have done the same. If you haven't already ask your consultant to ask around we network with each other and can help each other find discontinued products that are still within a good date code. When Mary Kay cosmetics discontinues a color of lip gloss, is there some website were you can get it?

How long should get even by benefit cosmetics last for?
I recently got get even by benefit cosmetics and i was wondering how long it should last for so i can make sure i am not using too much of it?
What kind of cosmetics can I afford to scrimp and what should I definitely spend good money on?
Please do not tell me to buy good quality beauty products for EVERYTHING, because that's not what I'm asking for.
I'm a student so I have limited cash to purchase makeup with. I'm seeking some advice on what type of makeup (maybe eg. foundation?) to really spend the bulk of my monet set aside for makeup, and what to just buy cheaply...?
Thanks. :)What kind of cosmetics can I afford to scrimp and what should I definitely spend good money on?
Any kind of face makeup.. such as foundation, powder, concealer should be high quality... any cheap brands could irritate your skin and make you break out. I would reccomend.. bare minerals.. or MAC for your skin/face. Eyes.. like eye liner, eye shadow or mascara.. you can go to target or walmart and get some decent.. like Mabeline..What kind of cosmetics can I afford to scrimp and what should I definitely spend good money on?
Make sure that your moisturizer / foundation is good quality. Then you can pick up a cheap blush, mascara, lip liner and gloss. Look at your local drug store, at the beginning of each aisle they usually have stands that sell cheaper brands, like Wet N' Wild. This brand is on the cheaper side and works well. Their mascara %26amp; blush is about $2 and the lip liner is $1. Tyr the Lip Liner # 666, its a brownich blush color and works great on every skin tone. Good Luck!!
check out the fashion mags. they usually have great advice and know which products are worth the money and they don't always pick the most expensive brands. and don't equate cost with the best. As a guy, I say spend it on foundation, if that looks wrong, then everything else looks bad too.
Foundation, mascara, lipstick - good. All the other things whatever.
I was a beauty consultant of Pias O';leary so I virtually know all cosmetic producats arrange in row in malls.I like Max Factor, Helena Rubinstein, Lancome. but because you have limited ressources, i suggest AVON., affordable but with quality. Choosing cosmetics depends on age and weather.
Since you are student, press compact foundation is advisable. Liquid foundation is for older skin to cover wrinkles and for cold weather. Avon brochure gives tips on what to use and when as to color of lipsticks etc.
lip gloss is a must have!... u can find some good ones at walgreens...
spend money on a good foundation and mascara that will last all day for a good base, buy any cheep brand for the other things and top up during the day/night as required, i would say skincare is the most important thing as its the first thing people notice if you have a bad skin day(eg spotty or dry)

What is the letter C in Mac Cosmetics skin tone shades?
Sorry I wasnt sure on how to ask this. I know NC cool for yellow undertones and NW warm for red understones. Or am I wrong?
But what is C for? What is the letter C in Mac Cosmetics skin tone shades?
My guess is the shades that have a C in them are for cool shades
NC I'm guessing Neutral Cool so kinda in the middle or can be used for Neutral Shades OR Cool shades
NW I'm thinking same thing Neutral shades kinda in the middle again or can be used for Neutral OR Warm shades
PS sorry for the spelling tonight I chipped 2 nails earlier so I feel funny typing with out em lol.... Now too bad we ant get samples of MAC cosmetics especially their VIVA Glam category or the lip gloss and the rest of colors she uses for her everyday natural face look Paris Hilton wears... ya know of any cheaper matches for the color she wears? What is the letter C in Mac Cosmetics skin tone shades?
Thats right NC = yellow undertones and NW is for pink undertones! The C stands for 'Cool' (basically has more blue veinings on the skin showing) and are medium-dark skintones. And the W is for warm which is slightly for much fairer skintones
Yes you are right. NW- neutral warm. NC- neutral cool. C- cool
This is just a guess but I think:
N = Neutral
C = Cool

NW = Neutral warm?

How is tanning, cosmetics, and glitter spray linked to Cancer?
I need about 15 facts about the dangers of using these things.
Is using too much and issue with the society?
Lots of opinions please :)How is tanning, cosmetics, and glitter spray linked to Cancer?
Tanning is definitely related to cancer... But I've never heard of a link with cosmetics and glitter spray. Cosmeticsusually protect the skin with added sunscreen so I would think that some cosmetics prevent cancer because they have a sunscreen in them
here's a quote from the National Cancer institute: ';Women who use tanning beds more than once a month are 55 percent more likely to develop malignant melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer. ';
here's a quote from a tanning website: ';The result of this study showed that the people who had used a tanning bed, tanning booth, or sun lamp were 2.5 times more likely to develop the squamous type of cancer while the increase of basal cancer was 1.5 times greater when compared to those without cancer. ';
using tanning lotion will not help... sunscreen helps filter out some of the rays, but then you won't tan. the best thing you can do is avoid the sun and tanning beds and wear sunscreen everyday. How is tanning, cosmetics, and glitter spray linked to Cancer?
tanning is related to caner because of not protecting your body from UV rays, which could potentially lead to skin cancer.
I'm not sure how cosmetics and glitter spray are related to cancer... but they do clog your pores which leads to blemishes and breakouts.
All your answers are in this e-book. Download

dunno about the others, but tanning in tanning beds can lead to skin cancer. 10 minutes in a tanning bed is like spending an hour under the sun.
We absorb the chemicals through our skin. Chemicals are bad.

Is there really a difference between expensive and cheap cosmetics?
I've been buying more expensive makeup recently (Chanel, Dior, etc) but I really don't notice much of a difference from the stuff I used to buy from Walmart. Is there really a difference or are you only paying for the name on the package? Is there really a difference between expensive and cheap cosmetics?
not really a big difference for mascara or eyeliner, but stuff thats powdery or for your complexion there is a big differnce. chanel, dior, mac makeup is more expenseve than say NYC cosmetics is because they use better quality materials so it sits better on your skin. foundation, eyeshadow stuff like that. but i have a dior mascara and it works WORSE than my beloved covergirl mascara in the fat orange tube. so mostly for like face makeup and eyeshadow. eyeliner thats designer is only sliiighhtttllyyy better but not a HUGE differnce. Is there really a difference between expensive and cheap cosmetics?
Yes. It depends though. Expensive cosmetics are made with higher quality ingredients. But there are times when they dont work as well. My sister only uses foundation though but its hitech and is electronic. Its $170 I think and refills are $80 cuz I always end up paying for it (cuz I get the most allowance from parents) Its teh SK2 Airtouch Foundation. But her makeup looks really good I have to admit. She doesn't need anything else and can make it look natural. And she never used makeup before. Her makeup actually looks like how makeup artists do it. So yes, higher quality is usually better.
And tehre is one thing thata annoys me. A lot of people say tehre is no differerence between cheap and expensive mascara. NOT TRUE. I bought my sister Dior show Iconic and it made her lashes look really dramatic. Plus tehy dont clump as easily. Yes, I know an odd amount of facts about makeup. Im actually the one who introduced my sister to it. I like having the best of evrything and thougt my sister shoudl get it too. And especially things like powder and foundation are def. better if they are made with higher quality ingredients.
The only thing i dont really notice the difference is eyeliner. The only pro for more expesnive ones is that it stays on for a longer period of time. Urban Decay 24/7 is actually much better than cheap ones cuz it stays on for like forever.
maybe ur not using the stuff properly. But i do admit that some cheap ones work well. Cover Girl Lash blast is actually good.
THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Good thing i never let my sister buy cheap things. Im against cheap things. And when I first learned to cook, I even spent $150 to cook a meal. I only cook gourmet foods. And Im 17. But Im already cooking what chefs do. I always want the best. Im kind of greedy. The first thing I ever learned to cook was Lobster Thermidor and not things like frying an egg. Plus I even have a celebrity hairstylist give me haircuts like Frederic Fekkai, Ted Gibson, April Barton, Rita Ragone, and Feliciano (not acelbrity hairstylist but should be) And I even bought limited edition $20 lip balm.
depends on the makeup product.
eyeliner--not really a difference aside from longer wear and no flaking.
eyeshadow--more pigmented for expensiver eyeshadows
powders--based on quality, so the more expensiver brands are better hence the ';quality';.
um youre kinda paying for better quality makeup too.
really depend on what kind of comestic it is.. mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lipstick it really doesnt really matter. I invest my money on the moisturizer, eye cream, make up primer, foundation, lip balm, and loose powder. Those thing take care of your skin..
Quality is the main difference, and pay off of color.
It isn't tested on animals, and is cruelty free. Which is my main reason.
Not really, so just buy the cheap stuff! God knows during these times no one's even able to afford Chanel and Dior cosmetics...
Expensive makeup have good quality and lasts longer. Cheap ones are dry and bad for your skin sometimes.
$$$$$$$=better pigmentation and is better for your skin-it can breathe and it's not so cakey and heavy/greasy etc-USUALLY there are those drug store gems :)
there isnt much of a difference between the ones at walmart
but if you buy those crappy 2 dollar ones then they will irritate your skin
the only difference are the words on it. ur best savin ur pennies and gettin it from walmart and target!
yes, if u use cheap stuff, it can ruin ur skin, but wen u use things like clinique, chanel, dior, shu uemera, ur skin wont get ruined
Expensive cosmetics choose the skins.
my lancome lipgloss has lasted me for like monthss
so probably the high fashion makeup last longer than drug store makeup?

Has anyone been able to cancel their Christina Cosmetics order?
My daughter ordered the Perfect Pigment makeup from Christina Cosmetics. You are asked to agree to an auto delivery program, with the option to cancel at anytime. My daughter didn't think much of the makeup and wants to cancel. The problem is, the phone number listed is a recording, asking you to leave a message, but message box is always full. The number to order the item is no longer in service. Emails are not answered. Meanwhile, charges to my card continue.Has anyone been able to cancel their Christina Cosmetics order?
ask your credit card company to void all purchases from them. also contact the BBB because what they are doing is illegal.

What do you think of Neutrogena and Almay cosmetics?
Im planning on switching cover up brand. I have an oily t-zone, and i want a light coverage. Which is better? Or what other brands would you recommend? What do you think of Neutrogena and Almay cosmetics?
netrogena has this foundation that is ';supposed'; to be better for your skin than others, but it made me break out more.
if i had to pick between the two, i would say almay.
however, if you are switching to a different brand of cover up, i would use ';mabeline dream matte powder'; in ';ivory; light, 2-3';
hope this works. :)What do you think of Neutrogena and Almay cosmetics?
Try sephora stuff they have very good brands. If you like to use a drug store brands, I do suggest Neutrogena(Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer ). Report Abuse
i LOVE neutrogena oil-free eye makeup remover. it is the only kind i will use ever again.
my sister loves almay mascara (any of theirs) because they are the only ones that don't make her eyes itch and water.
other than that, i don't use drugstore makeup.
I love Covergirl, but I also like Alamy. Neutrogena made me breakout a lot.
i dont no never tried it but covergirl is good
they're okay

I love Covergirl, but I also like Alamy. Neutrogena made me breakout a lot.
i dont no never tried it but covergirl is good
they're okay

Is there nay real difference between brand name cosmetics and cheaper products ?
I am thinking of brand name lines of deodorants after shave lotions and such. Are they really that much better then the ';in house'; lines of cosmetics carried by chains of pharmacies, or you just have to pay extra for the brand name.Is there nay real difference between brand name cosmetics and cheaper products ?
It depends on what you want. Eyeliners the same in my opinion, But everything else I think Brand Name IS better. One day I was trying to find black eye shadow[don't worry, I'm out of that emo phase] and all the brands looked like shimmer or grey when i applied it. I went to Sephora, however and tried there Urban Decay black eye shadow and it was amazing! It turned out pitch black. Foundation is also very important to me and your can tell the difference with the texture. drugstore brands seem to be a little sticky while the ones at Sephora are soft and creamy.
I think a brand of toiletries may be a little silly however unless you sweat a lot and drugstore brands don't suit what you want. Shave lotions...I'm not sure about that one, I'm pretty happy with my Target brand. But face wash i will splurge because you really do see a difference [I used to have acne] with Clinique.
So I think it just depends on your level of expectations on certain products. And most the time you don't pay just for the name, you pay for the cause [i wear breast cancer nail polish that 100% of the money goes to studies] where it's made [i don't believe in having 3rd world countries making things for little money] and last but not least, the ingredients [brand name uses much higher quality things.] So agian it's all about personal prefrenceIs there nay real difference between brand name cosmetics and cheaper products ?
Sometimes the results are better when buying expensive products. If you go cheaper you may develop breakage of the skin or even rash infections. Do your research when applying anything. Or read the back of the product. Some things that are cheap may not be healthy for your skin. Hope that helps!
When it comes to that sort of stuff...I say go cheaper...why pay ten bucks more for the same thing. Are you talking about Polo(example) that they sell in the Mall and at the drug stores?...or are you talking about Polo vs knock off Polo?
You're right you definitely pay more for brand names. Cheaper products are often just as good.

MAC cosmetics are good but what skincare to use?
I have tried all different brands of cosmetics and MAC seems to be the best for me as far as colors go and bringing out life to my face, but my skin is allways dry and dehydrated. Is MAC's new skincare any good and if so which ones are good for combo skin that is normal to dry? I don't breakout enless I use Clinique, and Estee Lauder. So any suggestions? The makeup artist at the MAC counter swore by thier skincare, but she could of been trying to sell me stuff too!MAC cosmetics are good but what skincare to use?
You know, I wasted money for years on skin care products and I find no difference from just using the soap out of my moisturizing softsoap antibacterial soap pump and my babies baby magic lotion. I'm 33 and I dont have a single line and I too am prone to dry skin. If I feel like splurging I'll buy loreal revitalift or something even though I dont see any difference. I prefer to spend all my face money, lol on MAC pigments. : )MAC cosmetics are good but what skincare to use?
I've never tried MAC skincare. I'm currently using SKII products, including the essence with I find helps to make my skin looks brighter and clearer. The Repair C is also very good in keeping my face hydrated.
i would use proactive or neautregena.
you should try shiseudo , i think thats how you spell it but I use the fresh line all the time and its amazing
Acne free at walmart. It's great!

Is getting a makeup combo pallette the best way to go when getting cosmetics for when I go back-to-school?
I'm going back to school soon, and I was wondering what all I should get from Sephora for my back-to-school makeup routine. Somebody told me though that getting one of those large combo makeup palettes was the best way to go for back-to-school. Any suggestions on what palettes I should get?Is getting a makeup combo pallette the best way to go when getting cosmetics for when I go back-to-school?
Here are my picks for what you should get:
Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner set and the Deluxe shadow box. The liners will run you $29, and the shadow box $36, however the shadow box has 9 shades of insanely pigmented shadows (you can do neutrals AND brights with this), and the liners last forever on the eyes.
Any of Pop Beauty's wallet palettes-they have some really good ones that are full of shadows to go with your eye colour.
I am not a fan of blockbuster palettes because the shadow dust gets in the lipgloss, it gets in the blush, the gloss gets rancid fast...I suggest get an eye palette, and then get one good blush and a good lipstick and lip gloss. Is getting a makeup combo pallette the best way to go when getting cosmetics for when I go back-to-school?
The large combo make up pallets aren't always the best idea. You spend alot of money and all of the colors aren't always good with your skin tone. You should get a few different eyeshadows that look good with your skin. I don't know if you wear mascara or not but the Diorshow waterproof mascara is amazing, bt if you don't wear waterproof then Cargo's Texas Lash ia another good option. Stila eyeliner is good too, and sephora has something that you put over your eyeshadow to turn it into eyeliner. Hope that helped! : )hair ideas

What is your opinion on organic cosmetics?
I'm writing an opinion column for an online website and I would appreciate other's knowledge and experience of organic cosmetics. What is your opinion on organic cosmetics?
Organic make up just means that there are no additives, or preservatives, and other chemicals that are modified. They are really just naked, natural cosmetics.
They are just like other lines, some products are great, others are not.
I like Aveda products, and Too faced is a Vegan line. those are two that have perfected products. there are others who have good things, but you just have to buy and do trial runs and judge on your own. What is your opinion on organic cosmetics?
I do use ALL NATURAL makeup (everyday minerals, ocean mist cosmetics, terra tints by alba), but they do not necessarily need to be organic, although if they are that's definitely great.
overpriced and overrated
I think it depends on what you mean for 'organic' cosmetics....brands?
Companies that don't test on animals or companies that don't sell products in any department stores, just whole food - granola stores...

What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?
I would love to know your list of favorites. I am new to the makeup thing since I've been all natural and am going on 23. I'd like to try something different. What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?
Well, different makeup companies are good for different products.
MAC- Blush, lip stuff, %26amp; eye products. I've used their foundations, and to put it simply, they SUCK. They have a nice variety of colors for blushes, whether you want powder, cream, or airbrush (in a can, it's really cool!) they have shimmery, natural, matte, everything. They have a million different shades ranging from matte to shimmery in eye shadows. Their eyeliners are great, they have shimmery eye liners, and all sorts of different ones, turquiose colros, everything! I'm not a fan of their mascaras though, I've tried better. They do have great lipstick %26amp; glosses. Their lipsticks range from matte, glossy, frosty, etc.
Dior- Diorshow mascara, the absolute BEST mascara I have used. Doesn't clump, defines your lashes and makes them look almost fake.
Bare Escentuals- Bare minerals face makeup is great! Very natural looking and it doesn't make me breakout. I have sensitive skin, so I have to be really picky.
Clinique- I love their dramatically different mosturizing lotion, it really does make your complexion look better.
Bobbi Brown- She has great glosses, they smell great (not makeupy, but not fruity junk). Long lasting too.
I hope this helped, good luck! What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?
MAC and LA Colors
I love Nars and Mac
mac
COVERGIRL , MAC, NYC, RIMMEL ect,
tests on animals.
thats not right !
go w. Revlon!
Neutrogena because it keep me looking natural
Since you are just starting out on wearing makeup full time, I would suggest making an application appointments\ at various department store cosmetic counters. Let them give you their tips. Not only will you get a little direction on the actual application, but it'll also give you the opportunity to check out some of the better products. Hope this helps!
MARK!
I really do use almost everything from them.
I love the 'affordability', portability, and value. I used to use department store brands and a few drug-store brands.
Isa Dora is the best makeup all around it is really expensive but for the price it is really worth it. its been out for a little while but its not like its been around forever like covergirl or anything. there are some things that i use of Love My Eyes or Lips. its a cheap brand, but for some things its not noticeable, like the nailpolish. the eyeliner is good in that dept. but i use liquid eyeliner cause it dries and stays on instead of fading throught the day.
wet n wild has quality stuff for a low price. i've always loved them and covergirl, NYC, and maybelline. hope i helped =]
for a virgin face i would recommed u have a face analysis do determine wherher u have a dry face, oil face ,oil/dry face or normal face.the best prouduct i would go with herbal products like avon, estee,
Mac is pretty good, but kind of expensive for daily use, and kind of over rated.
Actually, I would just go to little Beauty Stores or Thrift Clothing Stores that have make up Aisles, thats where I get my make up...and its just fine. Use liquid eye liner, blush, and little cover up if any!
covergirl, maxfactor, and almay.
i like MAC, bobbi brown, Loreal, Maybelline. The 1st 2 r expensive but the variety of products and the quality is amazing. The last ones r good ...what we call ...cheap and best. since its ur 1st time try the last ones. once u become an expert in applying make-up u can change. good luck and welcome to the beautiful world of colours...
I like a veriaty.. I like Rimmel, L'oreal Paris, Cover Girl, ect....hair ideas

What are considered high end cosmetics, hair products, clothing stores, and low end?
I need names, and stores.
I usually stick to Sephora and Salon items, but what's truly considered high end and low end, and is there a difference between how good the products work between high end and low end?
L'occitane, Aveda, etc.
As for clothes, aside from the really expensive designers, what else is considered more towards the upper end, that middle class Americans can still wear? What are considered high end cosmetics, hair products, clothing stores, and low end?
The products you buy in a salon are considered high end (and much better quality) as opposed to drugstore items. What are considered high end cosmetics, hair products, clothing stores, and low end?
A really nice hair product is Biolage..it runs about 15-35 a bottle.
Sephora and Salon items do give a good idea of whats 'high-end' and whats not. You can experiment and see what works best with your body. You may like a $25 bottle of shampoo better than a $100 bottle so try not to ONLY concentrate on price although I do agree with you that it does make a difference!

Where can i find good cosmetics in Morocco?
I'm in Fez. I need high quality cosmetics. At home i wear bobbi brown, but lancome or l'oreal or something like that would be fine too. friends suggest taking the train to Rabat. Can cosmetics be found there? Is there any way to find them without leaving fez?Where can i find good cosmetics in Morocco?
There's a shop in Meknes called ';Bib et Bab'; on Rue de Paris which carries Chanel, Lancome, and even Clinique. It's only an hour away by train.
Rabat has plenty of places which sell upscale cosmetics - there's one I know across from the train station (a parfumerie), and there's a fancy shop inside the new Mega Mall, on the third floor, which carries everything (well, only French brands, but the best ones!)
You can probably find them in Fez. Have you looked in the ville nouvelle? Look for a ';parfumerie,'; they typically carry upscale cosmetics. You may also want to try the Marjane superstore - they definitely have Maybelline/Gemey and L'Oreal, and there might be a cosmetics store inside of the superstore.Where can i find good cosmetics in Morocco?
I live near Rabat and I have not seen those brands... There may be some available in the upscale salons but they may not be the brands you are used to. L-Oreal brand products are available in Morocco, but I am not sure about the cosmetics. Have you tried ordering them online? My only concern is that you may not get them... I have had so many packages not make it to the US and not arrive in Morocco from the US. I wish I had more to offer...
Nomadic, I think I'm coming your way to do some shopping. Our Marjane here is pretty lame.

How long should i wait before i start to use the cosmetics after i had conjunctivitis?
You need to throw out any makeup that you used around your effected eye --- mascara, eye liner, eyeshadow and any applicators as well. Using the same makeup will only lead to reintroducing the the infection once again. Once your eye is no longer irritated and your discharge has stopped it is safe to use makeup again. How long should i wait before i start to use the cosmetics after i had conjunctivitis?

How to become a freelance makeup artist for a major cosmetics company?
I worked as a ';Beauty Consultant'; at a major department store, basically I was a salesgirl.
My passion is applying makeup to the customer. I left my job and went to make up school where I am now licensed in being a Makeup Artist. Occasionally I get work doing freelance through the Cosmetic company but not enough. I enjoy freelancing for the company and going to different department stores to do events.
My question is how do I approach other lines of cosmetics to get this kind of work,
Many Thanks, SharonHow to become a freelance makeup artist for a major cosmetics company?
it requires about 4 years of school and then you have to work for someone real cheap for a few yrs my sister works for Clinique and make a pile now but it took her forever to get there, My Dad said ';why did`t you just become a layer'; it takes about that long almost.

How well do MaxFactor cosmetics work?

The only thing of Max Factor that I have tried is the 2000 Calorie mascara....I love it....I've used it for years and it is wonderful! I've tried others from time to time but always go back to Max Factor for mascara. How well do MaxFactor cosmetics work?
i think the products r great, ive tried the eyeliner and it works perfectly.
Well Ive only tried the foundation and at first i loved it, but now i am soooo glad i stopped using it. Is way too heavy, makes ur face oily, and feels like u are wearing a mask. I just bought bare minerals and it is 100 times better! I was kinda nervous about the cost but it was totally worth it! It feels like im not wearing anything at all! I will NEVER wear MaxFactors foundation again!
I used it on my eyes and it made me get a rash so I would use a more known brand like covergirl
i only tried the everlites lipgloss (about $12) oh my god, it smelled terrible. it's like i put the chemicals on my lips and i just can't wait to remove it. it's still in my drawer and i only used it once but i'm not gonna use it anymore.
They seem/look really good I want to try it. When you have, tell me how good it is.

Is it correct to think that China is following Taiwan in fashion trends?
Probably some of them follow Taiwan fashion trends. Especially when some people in China like Taiwanese singers or actress. However, I have to say most Taiwanese are following Japan in fashion trends. You can see many Japanese cosmetics products board casted in Taiwan. A few Taiwanese follows US fashion trends. Now Korean drama are popular in Taiwan, so few of Taiwanese follow Korea fashion trends!
Do Chinese and Taiwanese females have the same skin type?
I think they have similar skin type, but not the same skin type. Even in China, people do not have the same skin type, because there are too many people in China. In addition, skin types may be different due to climates, eating habits, races. Are the fashion and cosmetics markets similar in Taiwan and China?

I need some really fast and good working acne solutions. Anything that any one reccomends I will try... Don't just say they will go away. I need some names of solutions. HELP!!!!!Cosmetics?????????
Here's a really neat list of medications, both prescription and over-the-counter. It also has ratings and costs:
http://www.acne.org/medications.php
Good luck with your battle.Cosmetics?????????

I sell Mary Kay and we have some acne solutions that work really well. Whenever you use something dramatic, though, make sure that you use a good moisturzer. You don't want to end up with dry skin!!
The best formula that I have used on many of the daughters of my clients, that really works is BEE LUSCIOUS COSMETICS use their medicated acne wash then the acne spot treatment, finally for makeup use the BLEMISH TREATMENT CONCEALER this will hide the acne as it fights it , then the liquid powder mineral foundation and regular makeup. I guarantee this list of item for full results.
Fast? Probably aren't any. Generally an acne problem takes at least weeks, if not months to clear up. The fastest thing you can do is light treatment, but youd have to go to an esthetician for that. If you have a severe problem, that may be a good idea for you because they can help you pick which products you should use for your problems.
It all depends on your face and chemistry. Everyone is different so not every product will work on every person. Make sure you use facial clanser without oil. After washing, gently pat it dry and then use an emmolient to replenish the skin. If your skin is too dry, your body will counteract it by making more oil. When the oil mixes with dirt you get zits.
Once or twice a week, exfoliate. You can use St. Ives Apricot Scrub, which works for me. This can help get rid of dead skin cells which can also aggravate your acne. Again, only once or twice a week. If you can't get any exfoliant stuff, then just use the soap you usually do and a little bit of sugar. Obviously you have to put the sugar on without a bunch of water in it or it will just melt.
You may need to spot treat. If you have cystic acne, regardless of what you may read, you don't need to walk around all day with these huge white things on your face. Make sure your face and hands are clean and you can pop them. Sounds gross and it may hurt. Best to do it right after a shower because your skin will be soft. You can use 2 q-tips to pop them. You can even get a tool at a beauty supply shop. Make sure you get all the gunk out. THis will help them heal better. IF its too hard to do, or if it hurts, stop. If you DO pop any, make sure you clean it very well (and gently) especially with an astringent or even rubbing alcohol if you really dont have anything. Be careful not to rip off too much of the skin or you'll have another problem. Follow up with emollient as usual.
Finally you can use make-up to help cover up some things so you can feel better. Make sure you aply to a clean face, try using mineral stuff cuz it won't clog your pours like talc will. Don't use your hands. Don't even use a foam pad/sponge, just use a brush, because you really shouldn't be putting on that much. More importantly, make sure you wash it off really well at night so that it doesnt aggravate your problems.
Good luck.
BTW, emollient is a moisturizer but without oil. It's better for your face. But realy any facial moisturizer should be fine.
I used a topical solution prescribed by a doctor, it is strong but made them all disappear, don't believe the off the shelf stuff or even pro activ, they dont work believe me. Ask for the topical solution from your doctor it is a rolll on. hope this helps
uhm i use clean %26amp; clear. its in a set of 3.and its like blue bottle. clear bottle, anddd blue%26amp;white its 3 steps. face wash face cream. and then stuff you put directly on the pimples. it works for me! it stings a bitt but yep! :) TRY IT :)

Cosmetics!!!?
Hey. Thanks for your help. me and my friends want to know the best CHEAP cosmetics that you can buy at a drugstore. Like lip-gloss, cover-up ,foundation ect. Also what are the best brands. Thanks !Cosmetics!!!?
Maybelline makes great inexpensive and good quality makeup. Maybelline's Mineral Power foundation is easy to use and is a knock off the Bare Mineral foundation. Their Waterproof Volum Express mascara is still my favorite after trying more expensive brands.
Max Factor is best for eyeshadows, they have 3 color combos that are bright and fun, just make sure to get the wet/dry brush, the color lasts all day.
Almay's eyeliner is the best out of all the drug store eyeliners, it doesn't smudge, it's easy to put on, and good for contact lens wearers. Their eye makeup remover works great also.
Neutrogena Moisture Shine Gloss has natural looking colors and makes your lips look moist.
Hope that helps!Cosmetics!!!?
covergirl would probably be your best bet. it's not that expensive, but it's an ok quality make-up.
if you want super duper cheap try elf cosmetics...they sell some at target..

Cosmetics...?
What's the difference between Primers, Foundations and Concealers?Cosmetics...?
Primer is basically a silicone product that makes your skin smooth and helps makeup go on evenly and last longer. It's a lovely concept, but it doesn't do anything and is big a waste of money.
Foundation is for use all over your face to even out your skin tone and hide minor imperfections and blemishes. The keys to wearing foundation well are matching your skin tone and blending thoroughly when applying.
Concealer is like foundation, but it is thicker and more concentrated and is to be applied to areas of real concern, like a big pimple or a bright red mark. It's best to apply concealer with a small brush for precision, and apply it after your foundation.Cosmetics...?
You apply your primer on first. It kind of keeps makeup sticking to your face. Wearing this underneath your makeup will keep you from having to touch-up and reapply your foundations even few hours.
Foundation can come in liquid, cream and powder forms. A liquid foundation is best for people with uneven facial tones. (Red patches, etc.) It's best applied with a foundation brush for even coverage. Cream foundations offer moisturized and blemish free skin. A cream-to-powder foundation has a lighter feel than a cream foundation. Both can be applied with your fingers or a sponge applicator. Powder foundations provide medium to light coverage. They give the skin a soft, fresh appearance. Apply with a big, fluffy brush.
Concealers are used to camouflage blemishes, redness, eye circles, and discoloration. Just apply to the area necessary and blend it in with your fingertip. They can also be applied with a concealer brush. You would put this on after a foundation, to help cover those blemishes the foundation didn't.
primers are pretty much pointless unless you need your makeup to stay on for like three days. all it does it like moisturize your face and your makeup stick longer. foundations are meant for your whole face. they even out your skin tone. they can sometimes be cakey. sheerer foundations can be good to protect your skin, if you get one with SPF in it. concealers are meant to cover specific spots;like blemishes or moles.real world myspace

primers are pretty much pointless unless you need your makeup to stay on for like three days. all it does it like moisturize your face and your makeup stick longer. foundations are meant for your whole face. they even out your skin tone. they can sometimes be cakey. sheerer foundations can be good to protect your skin, if you get one with SPF in it. concealers are meant to cover specific spots;like blemishes or moles.

Should I sanitize my cosmetics or throw them away after the mouse has gotten into them?
They're enclosed cosmetic items like mascara, eyeliner pencil, single eyeshadows, etc.Should I sanitize my cosmetics or throw them away after the mouse has gotten into them?
Unless the mouse found a way to actually use them you should OK. You might want to spray them all down with Lysol to prevent any cross contamination though.Should I sanitize my cosmetics or throw them away after the mouse has gotten into them?
I see that you have other ';mouse'; questions on here.
Not sure if you own or rent, but I'd get the heck out of there and find a new, non-rodent-infested place to live.
The fact that mice, rats or whatever, are venturing into your make up drawer and YOUR BED is not good. They carry diseases, and it's most-likely they have had babies.
For your own health, and piece of mind, it would be smart to look into moving or at least making your landlord do a major infestation overhaul. They usually have people move out temporarily and tent over the unit or house so they can exterminate.
If you can't afford to move, you might want to ask your county's health department or someone with this knowledge, how to properly exterminate your home.
Maybe you can get a cat to help you in keeping those rodents away.
Like the other answerers have said: Sterilize the heck out of your bedding, wipe down your make-up, sanitize your counters---anything to prevent them from contaminating your health. Keep your food properly secured and covered too.
Good luck.
Wipe down the containers and if your brushes/applicators were in there, be sure to clean those too. It gives me the creeps to think of the little thing crawling on my lip blush. All of mine have covers or containers, but if yours didn't, I would replace them.
They're enclosed and they didn't bite into them. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Maybe wipe down the containers but that should be plenty.
